MiG-15 UTI a new addition to Flyvåpnets Historiske Skvadron
MiG-15 UTI a new addition to the European jet warbird scene is operated by Flyvåpnets Historiske Skvadron. This Polish-built MiG-15UTI, produced by WSK-Mielec in 1952, has joined the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron as a representative of the Cold War ‘enemy’.

In the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron we are very are conscious to maintain the highest standards of technical maintenance of our jets. During the winter months we exploit the time as best we can to ensure that our jets are ready for the next summer season airshows. Safety always comes first in our maintenance work and operation of our historical aircraft.

RAF Leuchars Air Show
In September 1945 the Royal Air Force opened the gates of many of its stations to the public to celebrate the victory in the Battle of Britain and World War II. These events, which continued an annually, were known as "Battle of Britain at Home Days". In this anniversary celebration of the ending of WWII, RAF Leuchars is the last remaining RAF Station to hold this traditional event near to the Battle of Britain weekend. Leuchars Airshow 2013 was the 65th and final Battle of Britain at Home Airshow to be held by the RAF.

21. October 2010. Lieutenant General Wilhelm Mohr flying the de Havilland Vampire
Lieutenant General Wilhelm Mohr, aged 93 flew again for the first time in more than 50 years in a de Havilland Vampire T.55. A very refreshed Wilhelm Mohr accompanied by his daughter showed up at Rygge Air Base 21th October 2010. He was scheduled to be on a flight with the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron Vampire T.55, which he had looked forward to. It was also planned for a RNoAF DA-20 Jet Falcon to fly along as a chase and photo plane during the flight. This was instead of a 332 Sqn. F-16 as originally planned. Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron pilot Kenneth Aarkvisla was the pilot for the flight.
